Tutoring Options

Effective May 18, 2020:
To slow transmission of COVID-19 and remain consistent with recommendations from state health authorities to practice physical distancing, all Kent State University campuses are closed until further notice.

As a result, the Kent State Stark Writing Center is closed and all tutoring services are suspended for the summer. However, Kent State students have access to free online writing tutoring through the Ohio Collaborative eTutoring Network.

The Writing Center offers different tutoring options to meet students' needs.

In-Person Tutoring (TutorTrac) - SUSPENDED FOR THE SUMMER

Make an appointment using TutorTrac to meet with a tutor at the Writing Center. Or, you can stop by the Writing Center in the Library.

TutorChat (live online session) - SUSPENDED FOR THE SUMMER

TutorChat offers synchronous online tutoring utilizing Google Meet. You'll need a computer with a webcam and microphone, and you'll need to schedule a tutoring session through TutorTrac.

eTutoring (email) - SUSPENDED FOR THE SUMMER

Complete a student profile, detail your assignment and upload your paper through email. A Writing Center tutor will correspond with you through email, usually within a day or two.
