Residence Halls Provide Leadership Opportunities for Students

For some students, Kent State residence halls are merely a place to sleep at night. For others, like Caleb Strack, his dedication to housing has opened the door to many opportunities.

Strack, a senior majoring in accounting and finance, originally volunteered to serve as NRHH’s Director of Business Operations in Spring 2021. Currently serving as Kent’s National Residence Hall Honorary President and the Executive Director of Kent Interhall Council, Strack has jumped headfirst into residence hall leadership, making great progress is a short amount of time.

According to the advisor of the Black Squirrel Chapter of NRHH, of which Strack serves, “The whole trajectory of out chapter changed. We became the energetic, bold, involved, and courageous Black Squirrel Chapter that we once were – at the leadership of Mr. Caleb Strack.”

Through his work in NRHH, he was awarded the NRHH Outstanding Leadership & Service Award Pin. He is a regular participant in NRHH’s Random Acts of Kindness events, and was the Finance & Sponsorship Chair at the Regional Leadership Conference 2022

Outside of his work in housing, Strack is a dedicated Swiftie and themed his bid for NRHH President of the Year based on her ten current albums.
