  • FlashLine
    FlashLine is Kent State University's portal for access to email, Blackboard Learn, Google Apps, faculty and advisor tools (including reporting student grades), employee resources, etc.
      
Learning Management Systems
  • Blackboard Learn
    Blackboard Learn is the Learning Management System for Kent State University.  It is used to host course materials, online testing, and online activities.
     
  • Moodle
    Moodle is an alternative Learning Management System licensed for Stark Campus.  It offers certain features that Blackboard Learn does not, such as guided lessons and in-test answer checking.
       
Test Creation
  • Respondus
    Respondus is an offline test creation software that integrates with Blackboard Learn.  It makes it easier to import questions from Word documents and to print tests and answer keys.
      
Presentation Tools
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
    PowerPoint is a presentation application included in the Microsoft Office Suite.
     
  • KSU Presenter
    KSU Presenter allows you to create narrated PowerPoints for online viewing. 
      
  • SMART Notebook
    SMART Notebook software can be used in conjunction with the SMART Boards or on its own to create interactive educational materials for use in the classroom or online.
     
  • Google Slides
    Google Slides is an online slide-based presentation tool.  As a Google application, Google Slides is integrated with FlashLine accounts, which allows for seamless collaboration and sharing.

  • Kaltura
    Kaltura (video.kent.edu) is a video recording and hosting tool similar to YouTube.  Kaltura is integrated into Blackboard Learn. 
     
  • Camtasia Studio
    Camtasia Studio allows you to record your computer screen, record audio narration, edit video, and output in different formats.
     
Website Builders
  • Google Sites
    Google Sites is a free online website-building tool that faculty, staff, and students can use to create websites and online portfolios.  As a Google application, Google Sites is integrated with FlashLine accounts, which allows for seamless collaboration and sharing.
     
  • Weebly
    Weebly is a free online website-building tool offering users a simple drag-and-drop interface and a wide selection of templates.  Note: This tool is not provided by Kent State University and availability of the tool may change at any time.
     
Survey Tools
  • Qualtrics
    Qualtrics (kent.qualtrics.com) allows you to create online surveys and forms.  Qualtrics also offers data collection reports and graphs, which can be exported in various formats.
     
  • Google Forms
    Google Forms allows you to create online surveys and forms.  As a Google application, Google Forms is integrated with FlashLine accounts, which allows for seamless collaboration and sharing.
