CCP Courses and Pathways

By participating in the CCP program, students earn high school and college credit for the courses they take. Students in the first 15 hours of CCP coursework must choose from a list of easily transferable courses as indicated by the Ohio Transfer Module, Transfer Assurance Guide and Career-Technical Assurance Guide. You can find more information about courses you might be eligible to take on Kent State University's CCP Allowable Courses page. CCP students must meet the stated prerequisites for any courses they wish to take.

Students who are interested in CCP are expected to be informed about how they might acquire 15 or 30 college credit hours while also earning high school credit. Check your high school student handbook for published pathways. Kent State University has prepared a Pathways document that includes courses from our Kent Core requirements, which are general courses that apply to the greatest number of majors and transfer most easily. Students are encouraged to review the Kent State University road maps for the major they are interested in pursuing or contact the college to which they plan to transfer to determine the most applicable courses. CCP students are encouraged to meet regularly with both their high school counselor and their CCP advisor to choose classes that fulfill both high school graduation requirements and college requirements.

Pleast be advised the subject matter of a course enrolled in under the College Credit Plus program may include mature subject matter or materials, including those of a graphic, explicit, violent, or sexual nature, that will not be modified based upon College Credit Plus enrollee participation regardless of where course instruction occurs.
