External Scholarship Resources
There are several scholarship opportunities available within your community. Here are some local organizations that provide scholarships:
- Stark Community Foundation
Stark Community Foundation is one of the area’s major sources of college scholarship support— thanks to the generosity of caring individuals, families and businesses that have created scholarship funds. The Foundation currently manages more than 100 scholarship funds that support hundreds of deserving students each year from Stark and Carroll counties.
- Akron Community Foundation
- Barberton Community Foundation
- Portage Foundation
- Tuscarawas County Community Foundation
Kent State's ScholarshipUniverse is a search portal that helps match students to scholarships. To get started, you’ll need to complete a Student Profile. The questions you’ll be asked to answer will help match you to scholarships. While you don’t have to answer all of these questions – the more you answer, the better your search results will be. In addition, ScholarshipUniverse is able to match students to external scholarship opportunities.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES BOARD
As we receive them, Kent State Stark posts available scholarship opportunities on a board across from the Office of Student Services, 132 Main Hall. Stop by frequently to look for new postings.
