On Tuesday, Jan. 20, for the Kent Campus, Ashtabula Campus, East Liverpool Campus, Geauga Campus, Salem Campus, Stark Campus, Trumbull Campus, Tuscarawas Campus and the Twinsburg Academic Center, in-person classes held before 10 a.m. will not meet in person due to weather in our area. These classes may meet online. Instructors who teach in person have the option to conduct a synchronous online session – and recording those sessions to make them available for students not able to connect – and/or assigning appropriate asynchronous work. Before the class is scheduled to begin, instructors will alert students by email or Canvas about the expectations for their participation during the morning in-person class closure.
After checking their email and Canvas, students who need additional guidance should contact their instructor. Students in special classes, such as clinical rotations, should check with their instructor or placement supervisor on the appropriate procedures for the morning.
For online classes: All classes offered online will continue as usual.
For Kent Campus and Regional Campus staff: Essential employees should report as scheduled. All other employees are to report at 10 a.m.

The university’s weather closure policy outlines what to expect during winter weather events. Employees and commuting students should always use their personal judgment regarding travel safety when deciding whether to come to campus.
