ADVISORY: Special Kent State University Board of Trustees Meeting, May 6

The Kent State University Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 12 p.m. Wednesday, May 6. Due to ongoing efforts to safeguard the health and safety of the community and directives by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine to practice social distancing and limit in-person meetings, this meeting will be conducted virtually via Zoom Meetings. This special meeting is being conducted electronically as permitted under Amended Substitute House Bill 197, which was signed by the governor on March 27.

The sole purpose of the special Board meeting is to consider personnel-related matters for Fiscal Year 2021, including employee salary adjustments and the offering of a voluntary separation incentive. The Board will retire into executive session during the meeting to consider specific topics as provided for under Ohio’s “Sunshine Law.” No committee meetings will be held.
