Arrest Made Following Morning Kent State Incident

Kent State University Police arrested Christopher Eugene Clark, age 21, of Newton Falls, Ohio, for gross sexual imposition, assault and obstructing official business in connection to an incident that occurred Tuesday morning near the fitness track behind DeWeese Health Center on the Kent Campus. Clark is not a Kent State student.

At approximately 10 a.m., a female student was walking on the west side of the fitness track. A white male about six feet tall with dark shorter hair and facial scruff approached the female and pulled her lower garments down. The female fell during the encounter, suffering minor scrapes and abrasions. The male was further described as wearing a greyish-colored sweatshirt with dark hood, dark shorts and dark tennis shoes. The male ran in the direction of Loop Road and East Summit Street.

The Kent State community was notified about the incident and was asked to provide Kent State Police with any information related to this incident. 

Police are still investigating and request that anyone with information should call 330-672-3070.
