Faculty/Staff Exercise Program - Registration Deadline is Jan. 20

In collaboration with Kent State University’s School of Health Sciences, the Division of Human Resources will be offering a spring session of the Faculty/Staff Exercise Program. This program will run 12 weeks, from Jan. 27 to April 28, with a week off over the spring break. The program will be located in the Gym Annex off Midway Drive on the Kent Campus. Two time options are available for registration:

  • Option 1 - Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6 - 7 a.m.
  • Option 2 - Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon - 1 p.m.

This program is specifically designed to assist current full- or part-time faculty and staff members who may benefit from a more structured and personal exercise program due to a sedentary lifestyle (not currently participating in at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity three days/week for at least three months) or for individuals who may have some risk factors that require more supervision, such as hypertension, diabetes, family history of heart or coronary disease, metabolic disease, etc.

To learn more about the program, watch a video of current faculty/staff participants, or to register, visit the OneWellU website. Registration is limited for both the 6 a.m. and noon sessions.

If you have specific questions about the program, do not hesitate to contact Mallory Kobak at 216-570-3118 or mkobak2@kent.edu. You may also contact Ellen Glickman, Ph.D., at 216-401-2332.
