Kent State University Independent Films is looking for an outstanding script for a film this summer. The competition is open to any Kent State student.

We are looking for full-length feature scripts in the genres of psychological thriller, suspense or mystery. Good examples to think about would be any Hitchcock films, “Memento,” “The Sixth Sense,” “Silence of the Lambs,” “Signs,” “Paranormal Activity,” “Chronicle,” “The Cabin in the Woods,” “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” etc.

Even if you don’t consider yourself a writer but have a great idea, your submissions are welcome. Your idea could be the next film.

Email PDF copy to kentstatefilms@gmail.com (Put” KSU Films Script Competition 2012” in the subject line). Hard copy submissions can be dropped off outside the door of the film office. The office is located inside the media lab (room 125) in Franklin Hall. Include your contact information with your submission.

All submissions must be received by Nov. 2 in order to be considered. An acknowledgement email will be sent on receipt of your submission.
