Scheduled Emergency Exercise to Take Place Today at Kent State

As part of ongoing training, Kent State University’s Department of Public Safety will hold an emergency exercise today (May 18, 2016) on the Kent Campus involving various members of the university, first responder agencies, Kent Fire Department, University Health Services and University Hospitals Portage Medical Center. This is a planned training exercise from 9 a.m.-noon in Twin Towers (Beall and McDowell halls) while classes are out of session. The Department of Public Safety also will test the university’s Mass Notification System and broadcast a “test” message across campus. Again, this is a planned emergency training exercise.
