Kent State Community Celebrates Homecoming, Football Team Wins 17-14

Kent State students have fun with alumni social media props at the Homecoming tent on Front Campus.Kent State University celebrated Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 14, with classic traditions such as the Bowman Cup 5K Race, Kiss on the K, Homecoming Parade and football game. This year’s Homecoming featured Kent State alumni Ben and Candace Curtis as the Homecoming Parade Grand Marshals.

The Homecoming parade was followed by the Kent State University Alumni Association’s “Welcome Home Party” at the Center for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement located at 350 S. Lincoln St. in Kent. The Kent State Golden Flashes hosted the Miami RedHawks at Dix Stadium. The Kent State defense highlighted a second-half comeback as the Golden Flashes edged Miami for a 17-14 win on Homecoming.
