Kent State started the season this past Saturday with a statement win over Youngstown State University, 111-78, in the Northeast Ohio Coaches vs. Cancer Doubleheader. It was the most points a Kent State team has scored in regulation time against a Division I opponent in nearly 13 years.
The first 500 Kent State students in attendance Thursday night for the men’s home opener received a Return of the MAC Champions shirt. Admission for Kent State students is free for all men’s and women’s basketball games in the MAC Center.
