Water Service to be Shut off in Kent Student Center, Korb Hall at 2 p.m.

UPDATE: Water line repairs are complete and service has been restored to the Kent Student Cener and Korb Hall as of 3:20 p.m.

All dining halls inside the Student Center will reopen for their normal hours Saturday, March 9.

We greatly appreciate your patience as we worked to restore service.

A water line break has necessitated repair work that will disrupt water service in the Kent Student Center and Korb Hall beginning at 2 p.m. today (Friday) for approximately four hours.

Due to the disruption of water service, all dining facilities at the Student Center will close at 1 p.m. and will resume normal operational hours on Saturday. Those seeking dining after 1 p.m. are directed to nearby dining halls at Eastway Center and Tri-Towers.

During repairs, restrooms will not be operational in the Student Center or Korb Hall.  Those needing restrooms may use the ones at nearby Eastway Center. Those seeking showers may use the individual pods at Leebrick Hall.

It is possible the repairs may impact water service in the University Library as well. If water service to the Library is disrupted, please use restrooms at the Kiva, Williams Hall or Eastway Center.

Thank you for your patience as we work to repair the water line. Additional updates will be posted later today on www.kent.edu and shared via email and social media.
